Raising Sebastien: Realising the Potential of Your Autistic Child

I am proud to announce the publication of my second book by Marshall Cavendish -- Raising Sebastien: Realising the Potential of Your Autistic Child. This book contains a series of essays that depict my journey of raising Sebastien in chronological phases in the first section, with the second section containing practical suggestions for parents (and educators) on how to educate and interact with autistic children, as well as institutions in mainstream society. Most importantly, it celebrates my growing relationship with Sebastien -- one that has been forged amidst the continous frustration and daily struggles to move forward and pursue a meaningful life. And through it all, I can only say that Sebastien continues to "wow" me and make my heart leap up in the most expected way almost every single day. I hope that all parents will also be moved and empowered by this book to see their autistic children in a positive light and embrace them for who they are and who they can become with the love and acceptance of their parents.
